Financial Planning
Your financial road map
noun:
A financial plan is a comprehensive evaluation of an individual's current pay and future financial state by using current known variables to predict future income, asset values and withdrawal plans. This often includes a budget which organizes an individual's finances and sometimes includes a series of steps or specific goals for spending and saving in the future. In personal finance a financial plan not only involves investment management but also focuses on other specific areas such as risk management, estates, college, or retirement.
Financial Planning is at the core of everything we do. The plan serves as the road-map and helps clients identify their needs, wants & wishes.
During the initial phase of the financial planning process, we will discuss all aspects of your financial life such as income & expenses, assets & liabilities, risk tolerance, goals, budgeting etc... This step is crucial as it sets the tone for the plan moving forward. Having current account statements and data aids in this part of the process.
Once we have the necessary information, we move to the next phase which is analysis. This is where we as advisors take the information you provided us and meld it together with your needs, wants & wishes. In doing this we will analyze whether your assets are positioned correctly and if not, what changes should be made. We will also look into cash flows and budgeting. During this phase there most likely will be back and forth correspondence with the client for other information or questions that come up.
Next is presentation of solutions. This is where we get back together with clients and present the plan based on the information provided and analysis undertaken.
The next step is implementation. This is where we actually take the steps to implement the plan and get you and/or your family on the right path.
Moving forward, we will be monitoring and reviewing the plan to make sure you are on track to meet your goals. Monitoring is done at least on an annual basis and more often if necessary.
